Yugioh

Not really sure what to say about it. To begin with I enjoyed it a lot but when I got to episode 120 I became so bored I stopped watching it, two years later I decided that I had to finish it. And that had to be the most grueling month of my life, only by coming back and watching it again did I realise how overly dramatic they were about everything. This is probably one of my least favorite animes, but even so there are probably a lot of people that really enjoyed it.

Mew Mew Power/Tokyo Mew Mew

This has to be the only anime I tend to avoid mentioning in public, since honestly I was about 15 when I watched it. It is a typical girls anime, with a group of "cute" girls trying to save the world with magic powers that they randomly develop and falling in love at every twist. At the end of the day the reason I avoid mentioning it is because I enjoyed it, because it's a fairly light hearted anime it's pretty easy to understand and there's not too much going on at one time. PLUS the fight scenes last a couple of minutes each episode, meaning you don't get bored of the fighting.

Elfen Lied

I'd heard of the anime in a few places so with my friend we sat and watched the first five minutes of episode 1 and I was completely put off of it. If my friend hadn't continued watching it and insisted that I did too then I would have missed out on one of the best animes. I'll be truthful in saying that it is the most bloody and gory anime I've seen as of yet, and yes the first couple of episodes contain a lot of nudity but regardless it's in my top three. It has an awesome plot line and I'd say just about the right amount of detail on everything BUT I wouldn't suggest it to anyone under the age of 13. This anime was so captivating that I managed to complete it in two days, and if I'd had the chance to stay up late I would of completed it in one.If you haven't seen this or have really been put off of it then I'd say give it a chance.

Shugo Chara/Shugo Chara Doki

ARGH, I hated this anime, this is one that I defiantly wouldn't watch again. To begin with I really enjoyed it as a more female orientated anime with chibi's bouncing around, it reminded me slightly of Mew Mew Power, with a small amount of everything fighting, romance and comedy. But it was so long and after 50 episodes got insanely boring, it actually became torturous to watch and thus I vowed never to watch another episode of it again, but once more they've started another series. I believe that the main problem with this anime is the length of it you just become so bored of watching the same thing episode after episode that you really can't be bothered to watch it.

The Disapearance/Melancholy of Haruhi Suzmiya

I have to admit if you're looking for something a little more light hearted then The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya is a good anime to watch, especially if you like ones set in high school with the tiniest amount of ecchi. BUT on the other hand I hated the Disappearance Of Haruhi Suzumiya and I can confidently say that this was the only anime where I skipped episodes. I think that it would have been a good "sequel" if it weren't for the fact that you have to watch the same episode 8 times and that only really leaves a few new episodes so needless to say I got pretty frustrated after watching it six times over. I'm not to sure whether this really has a target audience gender wise but I'd probably say that it appeals to girls more than it does boys, and if you were planning on watching skip several of the looping episodes otherwise you start hating it.

There was one problem I found with this Anime and that was the running order and how different websites follow different orders so check out the list of episodes on Wikipedia as you watch it otherwise it could get pretty confusing.

Death Note

Ah, one of my personal favorite animes in my opinion it has an amazing story line that constantly keeps you on your toes wondering what they're going to do next. Although it mostly follows the story of the villain depending on your way of think you could support either. In my case I'm anti-kira and I've also found that you tend to solely support one side. This is one of the first animes that I watched yet it is still the first that comes into my head when someone asks me what should they watch. It tests your logic skills and at some points plays on your emotions, I'd say watch this anime if your looking for one to completely captivate you.

Long running animes

For me there is nothing worst than a long running anime, but there's nothing better. They can be so irritating but they can also be some of the best animes out there. When they're good, they're great but when the same arc has been running for the last thirty episodes you wonder why you're making yourself watch them at all. And I think that if I wasn't such a Narutard or anime freak I would have given up on a lot of them a looong looooong time ago, because lets be honest it just gets painful.
